Years ago, the only people that you would see using a mobile phone would be adults and business men. They used to have big mobile phones that have long antennas so that they could get a signal but nowadays, things are very different when it comes to mobile phones. Phones aren’t just used by adults anymore; they have become a central part to our child’s lives as well. As mobile phones have advanced, we no longer just use them for communication with the addition of cameras, web browsers and music players. The HTC Desire is jam packed with features for all to enjoy; in fact there is a feature for everyone! The first feature that you will notice with this phone would be the 3.7 inch touch screen. Yes, the screen is that big so you can see the words and the pictures clearly from a fair distance. A lot of phones have big screens but they have low resolutions. This phone has a 480 x 800 resolution which makes the pictures clearer and more precise. The images won’t be pixelated when you view it on your phone. The Adreno 205 graphics processor is a big plus for the phone’s interface animations. This helps when you play and use 3D games on your phone without any lag or delay.
Since this phone can record HD videos, it can support different kinds of media files too. For the videos, it can read 3GP, XviD, DivX, WMV and AVI files. When you record a video, it will be saved as a 3gp format. If you want listen or download music to your phone, you can listen to AAC, AMR, OGG, Wav, Wma and MP3 music files. It supports a lot of files so you can enjoy watching and listening to all types of videos and music. It also has a good speaker and you can use headphones if you want, with the 3.5mm stereo audio jack.
Since this phone is powered by Google Android OS, you can download and install a lot of applications. The social networking sites are a hit with the teenagers and these sites have Android applications. They are easy to use and most of them are free to download. Since Android phones are by Google, the HTC Desire S come with built-in Google applications like Google Map, Navigation and Latitude. If you work and travel a lot, these applications will be very helpful. For those who prefer e-books rather than normal paperback and hardbound books, this phone has an e-book reader. You can download e-books straight from your phone and you can easily read it using your HTC Desire S as well.
What else can you look for in a phone right? It has good qualities and specifications and it looks good too so it is a phone worth trying. This phone is also easy to use which a lot people prefer. It is not too complicated for children and adults to know how to use it.
